About this Position: The Business Support Officer - RTRL, plays a vital role in providing administration and business support to the RTRL Business Manager, staff, and clients of Richmond Tweed Regional Library in line with policies, procedures, directives, and legislative requirements. The position will assist in the delivery of a range of administration and business support services including assembling information from multiple sources into clear, cohesive documents and plans. The role will require excellent communication skills to download ideas and concepts from the manager and draft reports, policies, procedures, processes, strategies, and plans that will form the basis for implementing innovative ideas and activity, to drive continuous improvement and service excellence in the organisation. This is a full-time, maximum-term contract position through to 30 June 2027 , based primarily at the Lismore Library, with some flexibility to work across other RTRL branches. Develop and publish presentations, reports, business papers and minutes for RTRL management, the Senior Leadership Group and the RTRL Committee. Coordinate workflows in the administration and Support Services area. Purchase, order and process payment authorisation documents by request. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of RTRL, including administrative processes. Maintain RTRL’s Policy and Procedure documents. What you will need to be successful: Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar or related field, or with a minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain). A current Class C Drivers Licence. Demonstrated extensive experience and ability to deliver services aligned to the business activities of the team. Proven high degree of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, flexibility and comfort working with ambiguity while driving towards clarity and solutions. Experience in managing workloads to comply with tight deadlines in a high-pressure work environment with a high volume of work. Demonstrated computer literacy, including word processing, excel and maintaining corporate records including Council information management software. Desirable: Experience working in Libraries and/or Local Government .
